On the weekly group seminar, Dr. Natalie May lectured about the methods of manipulating the historical knowledge in the first millennium Mesopotamia. “Archeological” excavations and creation of the “museums” by Mesopotamian rulers of this period served both retaining and forging the past. The group had a visit to the Israel Museum guided by Dudi Mevorah, curator of Hellenistic, Roman, and Byzantine Periods. Prof. Daniel R. Schwartz lectured about King Herod the Great.
 
The group had a tour to Herodium, guided by Roi Porat, a member of the Hebrew University excavation team at Herodium.
 
On the weekly group seminar Michal Bitton lectured about the design and development of the garden of Gethsemane, 1800-1956.
