Scholion academic committee has chosen The Research Group for the Interdisciplinary Study of the Emergence of Modern Hebrew as the scholion research group for the years 2013-2016. The group members are Prof. Edit Doron, Prof. Malka Rappaport-Hovav, Prof. Moshe Taube and Dr. Yael Reshef.
 
The opening meeting of the seminar "Philosphy and Mysticism in al-Andalus" hosted Prof. Sara Sviri of the Department of Arabic Language and Literature at the Hebrew University.
 
The 2013 Research Field Trip focused on the Kibbutzim of the Jezreel Valley as well as some other issues related to the area.
 
Scholion Lectures Marathon is the center's main annual event. Successful candidates for the Mandel Scholarship from Israel and abroad will lecture at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem on January 3, 2013. The two deemed most outstanding are invited to further their research over a triennial term. They are welcomed at Scholion where conditions conducive to research at the highest level are maintained. Deadline for New Scholion Research Groups proposals for 2013-2016 has been postponed to 28.2.13.
